Our History

The Moore family has been in business for over 45 years.

Gary Moore, Founder of the G.L.Moore Tire and Automotive Inc. began working inthe tire business when he was just a junior at Central High School in 1958. After graduating in 1960 he became a manager at the BFG Tire Store.

In 1974 Gary took his experience and opened three small tire stores, two in Springfield and Oklahoma.

Now we have one large store located at 2253 E. Olive Court Springfield, Mo. We have been at this location for over 14 years now. The Moore family has been in business for over 45 years.

Gary Moore chose to have Mark Moore, his nephew, as a partner becasuse he wanted to make sure the company would be in good hands when he deciced to retire. This also kept the business family owned and operated and maintained the family name.
